Lios Wins ACE Award for Most Creative Application at CAMX 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Lios has won the 2026 Award for Composites Excellence (ACE) for Most Creative Application for our advanced acoustic material, SoundBounce.

Presented by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) at the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACE Awards recognise the people, teams, and organisations driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of the composites industry.

This year’s CAMX highlighted a growing shift across the advanced materials sector: as global industries expand and modernise, the need for effective, high- performance acoustic materials has never been more urgent.

SoundBounce was designed to answer that challenge directly. Receiving the Most Creative Application award among an exceptionally high calibre of international applicants serves as powerful validation of our technology’s ability to solve complex, real world noise issues.

The award presentation was an exceptionally proud moment for the entire team, made even more special when the trophy was presented to our CTO, Eimear O’ Carroll, by industry colleague and friend, Marcy Offner.

For our co-founders, Eimear and Rhona, this award represents the culmination of 17 years dedicated to research, deep-tech development, and bringing advanced acoustic materials to life.

“My co-founder Rhona and I have dedicated ourselves to developing SoundBounce technology for the last 17 years. It is truly an honour to be recognised among the composites community here at CAMX. This is such an important milestone for Lios as we prepare to launch our first SoundBounce products off the pilot production line in the coming months.” – Eimear O’ Carroll.

Beyond the award stage, CAMX 2026 provided an incredible opportunity to connect with partners, industry leaders, and new talent across the composites sector. Eimear also joined Jonathan Taylor on the Composites Weekly podcast to discuss Lios’ work with the European Space Agency (ESA), our upcoming commercial products for the construction sector, and the journey of building Lios over the last nearly two decades.

We extend our sincere thanks to the ACMA, the CAMX judges and organisers, and our incredible team at Lios whose hard work and dedication made this achievement possible.
