Lios Named a Top 10 Winner at the 7th European Startup Prize for Mobility

We are delighted to share that Lios has been recognised as one of the Top 10 startups in the 7th European Startup Prize for Mobility (EUSP).

Our CEO, Rhona Togher, took to the main stage at Luxembourg Venture Days at Luxexpo The Box on October 14th alongside fellow innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders shaping the future of sustainable transportation across Europe.

How Lios and SoundBounce Are Driving Clean, Quiet Mobility

The European Startup Prize for Mobility is Europe’s leading acceleration and investment programme for sustainable mobility startups. Selected from hundreds of high-growth technology companies across the continent, the initiative highlights solutions capable of making European transport cleaner, safer, and more efficient.

For Lios, sound and vibration control are fundamental to the future of transport. As electric vehicles, advanced aerospace designs, and modern urban transit systems scale, managing acoustic pollution becomes critical to performance, safety, and passenger wellbeing. Being named a EUSP Top 10 winner validates our deep-tech approach to tackling noise pollution at its source with next-generation acoustic materials.

“European mobility is undergoing a massive transition, and quiet, efficient technologies are central to that evolution,” says Rhona Togher, CEO of Lios. “Standing on stage in Luxembourg alongside such visionary founders reinforced the strength of Europe’s mobility ecosystem. We are honoured by the recognition from the EUSP evaluation team and look forward to the next steps of the European Tour.”

Reflecting on the role of behind-the-scenes deep-tech innovations, Dan Sobovitz, Managing Director of the European Startup Prize for Mobility, noted:

“This year’s selection reminds us how much mobility innovation happens behind the vehicle: in battery materials, energy production, infrastructure planning and everyday operations. Our role is to connect these teams with the public institutions, industrial partners and investors who can help bring their solutions into use.”

What’s Next: The EUSP European Tour

The Luxembourg ceremony marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for Lios. As part of the Top 10 cohort, Lios will participate in the upcoming EUSP European Tour, presenting SoundBounce at major mobility and technology gatherings across Europe:

Throughout the tour, Lios will connect directly with international investors, municipal leaders, and industry partners to accelerate the deployment of quiet mobility solutions.

Speaking on the path ahead for the cohort, Karima Delli, President and Co-founder of the European Startup Prize for Mobility, stated:

“Europe’s mobility innovators are developing solutions that can make transport cleaner, safer and more accessible. Our responsibility is to help them reach the people and places that need them. These awards bring that ambition into focus and connect the winning teams with partners who can help turn it into everyday reality.”

Our deepest gratitude goes out to the European Startup Prize for Mobility evaluation team, our incredible partners, and the organisers who make this platform possible.

As we prepare for the European Tour, our team remains focused on expanding the reach of SoundBounce. By delivering advanced acoustic materials and deep-tech noise reduction technology to global partners, Lios is helping build a quieter, cleaner future for sustainable mobility.
